Teams leave for Wankhede Stadium

Mumbai, April 2 (IANS) The Indian and Sri Lankan teams left their hotel at noon for the Wankhede Stadium, the venue of the cricket World Cup final.
Both the teams, staying at the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel in the Apollo Bunder area of south Mumbai, left simultaneously for the venue, some four km away.
The match will be attended by a host of celebrities and VVIPs, including Indian President Pratibha Patil and her Sri Lankan counterpart Mahinda Rajapakse.
