TCU- Oregon State University Game Ends 30-21

daltonArlington, Sep 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In midst of cheering crowd as the TCU football team took the field against the Oregon State University team, at the Cowboys Stadium, it was quarterback Andy Dalton who stole the show. Though it was not one of Andy Dalton’s best play, his three long touchdown drives led his team to success. The No.6 placed TCU went for 30-21 win over the 24th placed Oregon State University team.

There is no denying the fact that both the teams tried to put their best foot forward in the season opening game. However, the Oregon team lacked in the running section in which the TCU scored. While the three TCU runners gained at least of 64 yards, Jacquizz Rodgers managed 74 yards on 18 carries. The Oregon State University team completed the game with a total of 253 yards while TCU went for a 178 yards run. As for the Oregon State quarterback Ryan Katz, the player threw an impressible touchdowns ranging from 30 to 34 yards but failed to show any spark in the rest of the game. He finished with 9-of-25 for 159 yards. For most of the night it was TCU who provided the lead.

After the play, while the coach of the TCU team seemed impressed with the play of his team and maintained that he is looking forward to the season, the coach of the Oregon State University team seemed disappointed with the play and pointed out the sections that need improvement. Mike Riley of Oregon State University team said to media sources that he was disappointed with the team’s play. TCU coach Gary Patterson said that “the safety was a big deal”.
