Syracuse Orange Beats Georgia Tech, Wins Legends Classic Championship

9081135-largeAtlantic City, Nov 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Syracuse Orange emerged victorious over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday night, registering the Legends Classic championship at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The game rendered a fully packed session of exciting moments, giving the spectators an amazing time with the final score of 80-76. The basketball experts opine that the victory went in the hands of the Syracuse Orange all because of their tremendous will power that they exerted over their opponents

The reason which led to Syracuse Orange’s win is not hard to guess. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets were in their best form during most of first half and could have gone to grab the championship had they not succumbed with ten seconds for the first half. Brian Oliver of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets had posed a threat for the Syracuse Orange as the he made a six 3 pointers in the second half. However, later he was completely guarded by the opponents in the final 14 minutes, and this is how the Syracuse Orange basketball team, managed to dominate their opponents. The Syracuse Orange men held their rivals scoreless for 7:13 minutes during the second half and went for a 16-0 run.

Syracuse Orange had five players in double figures and went on shooting 55.6 percent from the floor. Scoop Jardine from the Syracuse Orange did the ultimate thing when he made a jumper with 10:37 left, and Syracuse Orange coach Jim Boeheim held his hands high. According to sources, Jim Boeheim was later seen admitting that Brian Oliver had indeed made them restless, and the team was worried about him who made some brilliant shots.
