Super Bowl: A Great Occasion For Eateries To Increase Sales

Feb 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Over 171 million people are expected to see the Super Bowl XLV where the Green Bay Packers will lock horns with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Needless to say all these people will need something to munch on in between watching the much awaited game! The Retail Advertising and Marketing Association carried out a survey which indicated that at least 70 percent of this lot is likely to buy beverages and food during the match. This means the restaurants and fast food outlets will be doing great business while the players keep the viewers hooked to their TV sets. Westminster’s The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille said that the business prospects could be better if the Baltimore Ravens could make it to the Super Bowl. However, the day is going to be a good one, says general manager Edward Treadwell.
To make the most of this opportunity, a lot of eateries and fast food joints are offering special meals and snacks on their menu. Even carry out order provisions are there for those customers who prefer watching Super Bowl in the comfort of their houses. A lot of people would be ordering for the Super bowl parties that they are throwing.
Dietz & Watson based in Philadelphia has used the Super Bowl as the perfect opportunity to market the offerings. They are offering special recipes on their site targeted at the party hoppers. The CEO and president of Dietz & Watson Louis Eni said, “Everybody has big Super Bowl parties. It’s all about eating and watching the game”. For the eateries this occasion is close to Thanksgiving as far as business opportunity is concerned.
