Sunderland signs defender Ben Haim on loan
February 2nd, 2009 - 1:14 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Feb 2 (DPA) Sunderland confirmed that they have signed centre-back Tal Ben Haim on loan from Manchester City.The 26-year-old Israel international worked with Sunderland manager Ricky Sbragia at Bolton, when Sbragia was assistant coach.
“It’s a position we have been short in, so I’m delighted that Tal has joined us,” Sbragia told the club website.
“I know all about him from his days at Bolton. He’s got a lot of top-flight experience, and he will be a great addition to our squad.”
