Aug 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Few will disagree to the fact that although the seven-on-seven Elimination Match was kept as the main event of the SummerSlam 2010, the WWE Divas Championship match between Melina and Alicia Fox turned out to be a show stopper at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Melina won over Alicia Fox to establish her authority once again in the ring and became the WWE Divas Champion on Sunday.

Out of the devastating leg injury that had kept her away from the ring for the last eight months, Melina proved on Sunday that she has returned to the ring this time with vigor greater than before. Competing against Divas Champion Alicia Fox, Melina came up with some amazing moves and aggression which the latter failed to cope up with. Melina kept his best foot forward and did not let her opponent any opportunity to take her down. While Alicia Fox tired her best to get an upper-hand over Melina, it was the latter that ruled the ring and went for offense play. Alicia Fox was battered red and blue by Melina who went on to win the Divas Champion title at the SummerSlam 2010.

However, the taste of success came with some bitter moments as just after Melina’s win over Alicia Fox, the former was interrupted by co-women’s Champions, Layla and Michelle McCool. The two then ordered Melina to leave the ring. The new Divas Champion though outnumbered attacked the pair but ended up getting battered herself. Left by the side of the commentary table, the Diva’s Champion was seen exhausted but still left with the vigor to return to the ring with full strength and prove her worth.
