London, Aug 3(ANI): Reigning Formula One champion Jenson Button is in a defiant mood after his McLaren team endured what he called “our lowest point” of the season in Sunday’s Hungarian Grand Prix.

Button, who finished eighth in the race that saw teammate Lewis Hamilton being forced to retire with gearbox problems, admitted that the team now faces a tough fight to recover their championship-challenging potential.

“I am going to work my a*** off to make sure we make improvements. It is amazing how down you can be after a race like that,” The Sun quoted Button, as saying.

“I was sulking afterwards, but already I feel much better. Unless you get upset about a bad finish like that, what’s the point of being here,” he added.

The next race is the Belgium Grand Prix on August 29. (ANI)
