New Orleans, Jan 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Wolverines are confident that they can come out strongly in the Sugar Bowl this time around. The team led by Coach Rich Rodriguez failed to win the contest but they believe this year will be quite different.

Coming up against Virginia Tech at the Superdome, the Wolverines are considered the favorites. They hold a three-point advantage as they go into the game. The team believes that what they just flattered to do last year will become a reality this time around.

Michigan captain Kevin Koger said that, “This year we’re more focused on winning the game. Last year we hadn’t made it to a bowl game in two years, and I think we were just happy to be down there and that was good enough for us. Coach Hoke instilled in us, yes, it’s good to be down here, but we’re down here to win the game first and foremost, and I think that’s been the focus of everybody.”

With the belief, the team said the Gator Bowl was just a preparatory event for them. The team believes that they have done enough on the field to demonstrate their intention to win the game. So far, they have won 10 games and are strongly poised.

Analysts expect the Wolverines to steal the win in the game.
