Stuart Law named Sri Lanka coach for tour of England
April 7th, 2011 - 12:58 pm ICT by ANIColombo, Apr 7(ANI): Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has promoted assistant coach and former Australian batsman Stuart Law to guide the national team ahead of next month’s tour of England.
“He will be the new interim coach,” Fox Sports quoted a SLC spokesman, as saying.
The 42-year-old has been assisting Sri Lanka’s outgoing coach Trevor Bayliss since 2009.
Bayliss, who managed the team for four years, announced his decision to quit ahead of the World Cup, which Sri Lanka lost by six wickets to India in the final.
Sri Lanka tour England from May 26 to July 9 for three Test matches and five one-day internationals. (ANI)
