London, Sep 20 (ANI): England cricket captain Andrew Strauss has said that the series against Pakistan must go on despite new corruption claims about bookies having details of innings before it began.

The International Cricket Council is investigating evidence of alleged match-fixing in the one-day game on Friday.

Pakistan won the Oval match, but The Sun probe revealed bookies knew details of their innings before it began.

“It’s a hard thing to stop a series when we don’t know how credible the evidence is,” The Sun quoted Strauss, as saying.

Pakistan, who is trailing in the series 2-1 with two games to play this week, denied all match-fixing claims.

And Strauss believes they are trying to win games, The Sun reports.

He said: “They have been three very hard-fought cricket matches.” (ANI)
