Steve McNair’s Son Offered College Football Scholarships

steveIt seems that the McNair family, after the death of Steve McNair, at last have some good news to smile for. The late football star’s son, Steve McNair Jr. has been gathering a lot of media attention after it has been reported that he has been offered scholarships from four schools at least, which includes primarily West Virginia, Tulsa, Mississippi State and Southern Miss. The list of offers does not end here as according to sources he has also received offers from the universities of Kentucky, Louisiana Tech, Ole Miss and Alcorn State. Besides these lot, even Alabama and Florida state is interested on him though they have not yet offered him any scholarships yet.

Earlier in April, West Virginia, Mississippi State and Ole Miss was listed by Steve MacNair Jr. as his favorites.

The MacNair Junior who is part of the TU’s 2010 class list of recruits is presently a player of the Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, unlike his father who used to play in quarterback position as a Heisman candidate. He was involved in 58 passes for 962 yards besides 8 touchdowns in his play last season.

Having a weight of 185 lbs. and being 6 feet in height, this well built athlete truly carries the legacy of his father, though the interest of the son in his choice of teams differ when compared to that of his father.

Steve McNair who was found shot dead in his Nashville, Tenn Condominium on last Saturday along with a 20 year old woman, is survived by four sons namely Steven, Tyler and Trenton including Steve Junior.
