June 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Vince Young who is the quarterback for the Tennessee Titans team owes a lot to his mentor the late Steve McNair. The latter prepared him for his career and taught him many finer nuances of the game when he was alive. The young player has not forgotten that and he wants to pay tribute to his mentor on his first death anniversary. That explains why Vince Young has said that he will see the mother of his mentor on his death anniversary in the next month.

It is well known that on July 4 last year Steve McNair was shot by his girlfriend and died as a result. His girlfriend Sahel Kazemi shot him twice in his head and body, which proved to be fatal. The woman thereafter shot herself and committed suicide. It shattered the family of the player and shocked his team mates, who had no idea that the player will meet his end so soon and that too from someone he loved dearly. Vince Young will go to meet the mother of his mentor on July 4 this year and he has said that he will like to spend the weekend with the elderly lady who lost her son. Nothing can feel the void but his presence may soothe the mind of the lady.

He said that the occasion will be a sad one for both him and the family of his mentor but he would like to pay tribute to his memory nevertheless. The incident came as a bolt from the blue for the family of the player. A grand jury opted against reopening the case this month.
