NASHVILLE, Tennessee (BNO NEWS) — Former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair was found dead in downtown Tennessee on Saturday afternoon, officials told BNO News.

The call to police came in at 1.35 p.m. local time after two bodies were found inside a condominium at 2nd Avenue South and Lea Avenue, according to Don Aaron, who is a police spokesman. Aaron confirmed that McNair was one of the two victims and was shot to death.

An adult female was also found inside the condominium, but her identity has not yet been confirmed. “The circumstances surrounding the shooting deaths remain under active investigation,” Aaron said. Metro Police Homicide detectives are investigating.
