Dec. 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The time may be just right for offensive coordinator Steve Addazio. He had expressed his desire to become the head coach some day, but it is doubtful whether he has hoped to be promoted to that position so early in his career. With the temporary exit of Urban Meyer, the coach of the football team of the University of Florida, the Florida Gators, Steve Addazio has been named the interim coach of the team. Urban Meyer has taken a break, as per his reports, for an indefinite time, although he is not retiring right now.

It is hoped that the Florida Gators will be able to keep up their brilliant performance under the coaching of Steve Addazio. After all, the freshly elected interim coach is no fresher. He has the experience of 24 years behind him. In fact, the appointment of Steve Addazio has been well approved by Urban Meyer himself. He commented that Steve Meyer is definitely one of the best coaches in America. No doubt that is as big booster for the interim coach.

It is likely that Steve Addazio has been hired as the coach for only a year or so, considering that it is being speculated that Urban Meyer’s leave of absence is likely to last no more than a year, and theta he will be resuming his post in 2011. The confirmation of the Steve Addazio hiring was unveiled at a press conference held by Urban Meyer announcing his change of plans. The appointment has been well received by the players, many of who look up top him as a father figure.
