Stanford Cardinals Posts 35-0 Win Over UCLA Football Team

uclaPasadena, Sep 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In the first game of Pac-10 schedule on Saturday, No. 25 placed Stanford Cardinals won over UCLA Bruins with the scoreboard reading 35-0. While the UCLA Bruins suffered a major loss on Saturday, the Stanford Cardinals broke their losing streak by posting a marvelous win. However, few will disagree to the statement that the UCLA Bruins was found in poor form and committed multiple mistakes leading Stanford Cardinals to success.

On Saturday what snatched the game from the UCLA football team was the strong defense line of the Stanford Cardinals. Although it wold be wrong to say that the Stanford Cardinals were perfect, they were nonetheless riding above the offense of UCLA Bruins. The UCLA Bruins committed four turnovers that provided its opponent with ten points. The offensive line of the UCLA Bruins was seen struggling during whole of the game to control the aggressive play of the Stanford Cardinals. In the third quarter of the game, the UCLA quarterback Kevin Prince made a handoff blunder, then the ball went in the hands of Michael Thomas who did not miss the opportunity and ran 21 yards to have a touchdown and lead his team to 28-0. It was Andrew Luck’s two touchdown passes and Michael Thomas’s defensive effort that with the last 21-yard touchdown that led Stanford Cardinals to mark that win.

After the win, Michael Thomas said to media sources that the wins means a lot. He mentioned that last time to Stanford Cardinals won in Pasadena was back in 1996. He said that it is the taste of win that will drive the team to further wins.
