stafonAug 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A day after Tennessee Titans rookie running back Stafon Johnson suffered injury on his right ankle, the coach of the team Jeff Fisher said that the player had undergone a successful ankle surgery to correct the dislocation. Although the Coach did not elaborate on the types of injuries suffered by the player, media sources claim that Stafon Johnson had not only dislocated his right ankle but also suffered a broken fibula and a high ankle sprain. The coach on his part maintained that he is hopeful that the player will be back within 8 to 12 weeks.

Stafon Johnson suffered the injury during the preseason opener of the Tennessee Titans against the Seattle Seahawks which the former lost. It was his first game after he remained out of the field for quiet a long time as a USC Senior after accidentally dropping weights on his neck and injuring his larynx. However, the Coach of the Tennessee Titans team seems confident about the return of the player this season as he brushed the present injury as part of the game which a player needs to leave behind. Sympathizing with the situation of Stafon Johnson who is going through a rough patch of time at present, Jeff Fisher said that he hopes “everyone is pulling for him [Stafon Johnson]“.

The coach praised Stafon Johnson as an “outstanding” player and maintained that Stafon Johnson was able to build a relationship with the team within a very short period. He told that the player will get opportunity again as he had shown “he can play in this league”.
