Kolkata, May 6 (IANS) Army man Chinna Raju Srither scored a perfect 360 in the 30 metre event in the compound bow section of the Archery World Cup stage II at Porec in Croatia Wednesday but finished fifth over the distance.
This was because four other archers, all off whom scored 360 points, had more bulls eyes than him in the 30m distance.
Srither finished 24th overall with a cummulative score of 1,387. Srither’s closest compatriot was Chungda Sherpa at 32nd with a score of 1,382.
Khuraijam Ratan Singh ended 48th with 1,364 while Arjun Rao was 72nd with 1,314.
The Indian men’s team ended overall eight with a total of 4,133.
Jhano Hansdah, as usual, was the best among the four Indian women with a score of 1,382 which earned her the 14th rank in the qualifiers. Namita Yadav with 1,364 was 23rd while Bheigyabati Chanu was 27th with 1,361. Sarikonda Jayalakshmi was 38th with 1,346.
The Indian women’s team was placed fifth overall with 4,107.
