Srinath, Bodda lead in Asian Junior chess
June 18th, 2010 - 8:37 pm ICT by IANSChennai, June 18 (IANS) Former World under-12 champion and International Master N. Srinath of India emerged sole leader with four points at the end of the fourth round of the Asian junior chess championship here Friday by defeating IM K. Priyadarshan.
In second place are four Indians - IMs Vidit Santosh Gujrathi, M.R. Lalith Babu, M. Shyam Sundar and untitled Anwesh Upadhyaya - with 3.5 points apiece.
Meanwhile, Pratyusha Bodda of India extended her winning streak by defeating higher rated WFM Tay Li Jin Jesling of Singapore in 47 moves to take the lead with a tally of four points.
Also on four points was WFM Vo Thi Kim Phung of Vietnam who beat WFM R Bharathi of India.
