Sri Lanka opt to bat against Canada

Kumar Sangakkara Hambantota, Feb 20 (IANS) Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat against Canada in a World Cup Group A match at the Mahindra Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium here Sunday.Sri Lanka decided to go with two specialist spinners in Muttiah Muralitharan and Ajantha Mendis. Pace spearhead Lasith Malinga does not feature in the playing eleven.

Sri Lanka: Kumar Sangakkara (captain/wicketkeeper), Upul Tharanga, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Mahela Jayawardene, Thilan Samaraweera, Chamara Kapugedera, Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera, Nuwan Kulasekara, Muttiah Muralitharan, Ajantha Mendis.
