Spurs will not be broken up: Redknapp
April 13th, 2011 - 10:22 am ICT by ANILondon, Apr. 13 (ANI): Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has said he will not allow the club to disintegrate even if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.Tottenham faces Real Madrid in a quarter-final clash on Wednesday.
The Sun quoted Redknapp, as saying: “There is not a chance Tottenham will be selling their best players. Even if we don’t qualify for Europe next season, there is no need to sell anyone in the first-team squad and importantly no desire to sell anyone either.”
He added: “They’ve all got contracts - none are leaving. In fact we’ll be looking to add to the quality already here.”
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy had sparked rumours when he said some players would be off to trim the squad.
But Redknapp insisted: “When Daniel said that, he was talking about a lot of players on loan.” (ANI)
