Sponsors Banking On The Brand Called Tiger Woods

tigerApr 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) With the return of Tiger Woods on the cards- he is scheduled to return this month at the Augusta Nationals- all the sponsors are gearing up to feature him once more as the face of their products. From the look of things, all the public scandals and philandering has not lowered the graph of his popularity one bit, at least so far as his sponsors are concerned. Although quite a number of his sponsors had cut off all association with him in the wake of the publication of his scandals, the few that chose to stick by him, among them big brands like Nike, are all set to benefit from this much awaited return of the king of the golf course.

Nike was the first one top have been rumored to be shooting a television commercial with Tiger Woods, although either camp did not confirm the reports. It was being rumored that Tiger Woods had been seen attending the shoot. In fact, Nike had made it very clear from the very beginning that it did not have any intention of alienating itself from the golfer because of his personal life.

The other brands are also preparing hard, even though a commercial is not on the cards for most. Electronic Arts, another big name that chose to stand beside he golfer, has chosen this opportune moment to release the browser based version of the new game which has Tiger Woods as the theme. Upper Deck has designed limited edition red shirts, the one that is signature Tiger Woods, and each is priced at $1000. Whether he plays well or not, there can be no denying in the selling power of the Tiger Woods brand.
