South Africa’s No 2 Test ranking in jeopardy
January 6th, 2011 - 12:49 pm ICT by ANICape Town, Jan 6 (ANI): South Africa is in danger of losing their No 2 Test ranking position if they lose the third and final Test against India at Newlands.
ICC Media and Communications Manager, James Fitzgerald confirmed South Africa’s demotion by “a fraction of a ratings point”.
The Proteas will slip to No 3 in the ICC rankings should they lose the Newlands Test (and the series 2-1) - and if England manages to complete a 3-1 Ashes victory over Australia, Sports24 reports. (ANI)
