Somdev, Yuki advance in Charlottesville Challenger

Somdev Devvarman Charlottesville (US), Nov 3 (IANS) India’s Somdev Devvarman and Yuki Bhambri have advanced to the second round of the $50,000 Challenger tennis here.

Second-seeded Somdev beat world No.198 Alex Bogomolov 6-4, 6-4 Tuesday. The 96th-ranked Indian now meets Greg Jones of Australia.

Yuki, who qualified for the main draw, overcame a second set slump to beat American wildcard Alex Domijan 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(4). He is now up against sixth-seeded and world no.138 Australian Marinko Matosevic.
