Somdev improves his career-best ranking to 116

New Delhi, Nov 2 (IANS) India’s No.1 Somdev Devvarman continued his upward stride on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) charts, jumping five places to 116th, in the rankings released Monday.
Somdev last week had improved his career best rankings of 124 to 121.
Prakash Amritraj gained seven places to 223 while Yuki Bhambri retained his 344th position.
In the men’s doubles, Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes are static at seventh and eighth places respectively.
In the women’s singles, Sania Mirza maintained her 58th position. She gained one spot to 37th in the doubles rankings.
