Somdev crashes out of Newport second round

Newport (US), July 8 (IANS) India’s Somdev Devvarman crashed out of the second round of the $442,500 Campbell’s Hall of Fame Tennis Championships with a 2-6, 0-6 mauling by fifth-seeded American Mardy Fish.
Fish saved all five break points and capitalised on five of his 14 break point opportunities to reach the quarter-finals for the fourth time here Wednesday.
The 28-year-old American will meet Canadian Frank Dancevic, who defeated French wild card Nicolas Mahut 7-6(5), 6-3.
