Somdev climbs to career best ranking

New Delhi, June 21 (IANS) India’s Somdev Devvarman climbed up a spot to 103 in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings released Monday.
Somdev, who failed to qualify for the Wimbledon singles, will be playing in the doubles partnering Treat Conrad Huey of the Philippines.
The US-based Indian Prakash Amritraj has dropped a place to 293.
In the men’s doubles, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi are unchanged at sixth and seventh places, respectively.
In the women’s singles, Sania Mirza, making a comeback after her marriage and injury, gained two places to 111.
