Skydivers jump from the world’s tallest building

free-fall Dubai, Jan 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Skydivers jumped from the world’s tallest building – the Burj Khalifa, to create a new world record. Two sky divers legally jumped from the Burj Khalifa on Friday and set a new record for the highest ever base jump from a man made structure. The tallest man made building – the Burj Khalifa stands at 2010 feet.

Omar Al Hegelan and Nasser Al Neyadi jumped 2,205 feet from the top of the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai before free falling for 10 seconds and then they deployed their parachutes. It was the world’s highest jump from a man-made structure. Both of them had planned the jump for months and had also obtained permission from the Dubai authorities to execute this stunt.

Al Hegelan said that, “It was amazing, one of the most beautiful sensations I’ve ever experienced. We did it legally, we did it safely and we set a new world record. It took months of planning and we had to obtain permission from the UAE government, but we showed that safe, legal Base jumps are possible from the Burj Khalifa.”

The world’s tallest building is an amazing 828 meters tall and it was inaugurated on the 4th of January by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
