New Delhi, Feb 18 (IANS) L. Rai Singhani, Ashok Arora and Ashok Bhatia were announced winners in the Northern and Eastern regional qualifying tournament of the Mercedes Trophy. The eighth edition of the tournament, designed only for Mercedes owners, was held at the Jaypee Greens, Gurgaon concluded Sunday.
Singhani emerged winner in category A while Arora and Bhatia won in category B and C respectively. The runners-up in the respective A, B and C categories were Ashok Monga, Gaurav Dogra and Mukta Malhotra.
The winners and runners-up for each category from each of the regional rounds will be special guests of DaimlerChrysler India at the prestigious Mercedes Trophy National Final, which will be played at Pune March 16.
The three lucky winners at the National Finals, along with their spouses, will get a unique chance to participate at the Mercedes Trophy World Final 2008 at Stuttgart, Germany, which is an annual congregation of the finest-proven players and Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts.
