Hyderabad, April 3 (IANS) Nearly two weeks before his marriage with Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik arrived here reportedly to clear the air over his alleged first marriage with a Hyderabad resident Ayesha Siddiqui.
A day after Siddqui family came out with proof of the marriage, Shoaib was spotted at Sania’s residence in Banjara Hills.

Television footage showed the couple talking to somebody over mobile phone on the terrace and Sania also having animated discussion with her mother Naseema who joins them.

Shoaib reportedly arrived here Friday night but his visit was kept under wraps.

Sania’s family is also tight-lipped on the purpose of his visit and also on the reports that the families was planning to shift the venue of the marriage to either Dubai or any other city in view of the controversy.

Shoiab was spotted at Sania’s house a couple of hours after sources close to Siddiqui family said they had served a legal notice on the Pakistani cricketer and his brother-in-law Imran Zafar for cheating, defamation and harassment.

Shoaib is scheduled to marry Sania here on April 15.

Sania’s family will also host a wedding reception. The bride and her family members will then travel to Pakistan for a reception to be hosted by Shoaib.

Ayesha Siddiqui’s parents Friday released to media copies of ‘nikahnama’ or marriage certificate. They claimed that the nikah over phone was performed in 2002.

They threatened to sue Shoaib for denying the marriage and demanded that he first divorce their daughter before marrying Sania.

Shoaib’s family has accused Siddiquis of cheating him by using photograph of another girl. They also threatened to file a counter case against Siddiqui family.
