Shoaib has been out from the team for the last thirteen matches due to a ban imposed on him for several episodes of misconduct, which included a dressing room brawl against fellow pacer Mohammad Asif in South Africa last month.

Chief Selector Salahauddin Ahmed has said that the ‘Rawalpindi Express’ looks in a great form, and has promised him that he would bowl ‘really fast’ in the forthcoming matches.

“Shoaib certainly looks in peak shape and we are all expecting him to bowl with a lot of fire,” The News quoted Salahuddin, as saying.

“His (Shoaib’s) return to fitness is a good omen for us before the series against India,” Salahuddin said.

Pakistan will be touring India next month, and will play its first ODI in Guwahati on November 5.

“He is one of our main wicket-taking bowlers and if he finds his rhythm then we will certainly be in a good position against India,” he added. (ANI)
