sheldon1 Cleveland, Apr 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sheldon Brown, the very popular cornerback was yesterday traded to the Cleveland Browns. He has been a successful player from the very beginning of his career not missing out on a single game in 8 long years. Though, according to some, he does not show the capability to make it to the Hall of Fame he is definitely strong and consistent throughout.

Sheldon Brown turned 31 last month and thus there was an urgent need to get him replaced. The Eagles will have to make a choice from amongst its 10 draft players to find a replacement for Brown. Sheldon Brown was one of the league’s top cornermen, who became all the more important after the Eagles signed Asante Samuel, who is outstanding as a player but cannot manage the corner spot.

Sheldon Brown, the veteran cornerback with the Philadelphia Eagles, is now being dealt as a casualty making the Eagles’ offseason even more dramatic. The management decided to put him out of the team along with linebacker Chris Gocong. Since last week Eagles have been on a shedding spree and have dropped 11 players and replaced them with 6 others. The management has accepted that Brown is indeed difficult to replace since he has been with the team when it was in the Super Bowl competition. Many feel that he Eagles chances to win the Super Bowl would have been a lot better with Sheldon Brown than without him. It has to be seen now whether the Browns makes good with him being in their team or the Philadelphia Eagles misses him in action in the future.
