Jan 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The very dependable Shayne Graham of the Bengals disappointed his fans when he missed two short field goals in the last match against Jets. The player who is renowned as the best kicker, made some major mistakes when he missed two short field goals. He hooked the 35-yard attempt pretty wide in the third quarter. The fate of the 28-yard was that it was pushed wide- right in the fourth quarter. In NFL history, Shayne Graham is known for his excellence as a field-goal kicker. Shayne Graham could not live up to the expectations of his fans for the past few seasons when situation demanded him to give his best. In the last match, Shayne Graham missed 35- and 28-yard field-goal attempts. It led to the loss of the Bengals in the 24-14 loss to the New York Jets.
The Bengals entitled Shayne Graham as their free agent of the year, but Shayne Graham’s bad performance will definitely be something which will make them think before they take their decision for the next year. Shayne Graham had the track record of twelve straight field goals before Saturday’s match. He needed to deliver when the Bengals wanted to make it a one score game with just a few seconds to go, but Shayne Graham sliced the ball right. It dashed the hopes of the Bengals to make a comeback.
The coach Marvin Lewis is thoroughly disheartened. Shayne Graham could see for himself the greatest blunder he had committed and left the field early in utter dejection, after the match.
