3931814binDec 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Its time for deals. With the onset of the Major League Baseball’s Winter meetings a numerous deals are waiting to be struck. News on the front has it that talks regarding Shaun Marcum’s passage from the Toronto Blue Jays to the Milwaukee Brewers are going on. However, the deal has not been finalized.

Team managers and agents are impatient to wait till Monday, from when the deals are actually supposed to begin. The early arrival of the flock of managers and other officials at Lake Buena Vista in Florida are just making news for early deals. One such is that of the case of Shaun Marcum. According to a source present at the meeting venue, there was has been some late Sunday night talks of the starting pitcher being traded to the Milwaukee Brewers for the prospect of drawing in either Brett Lawrie or Mat Gamel. Till now there has been no confirmation as to who would replace Shaun Marcum. Or will the pitcher be at all replaced. Nothing is clear as the Toronto Blue Jays officials are strictly tight-lipped on this matter. Neither are the Milwaukee Brewers willing to open their mouth.

Milwaukee Brewers general manager Doug Melvin sharply declined to answer back when asked about the likely exchange. He neither confirmed it or denied it. He only went to say that since nothing is complete till now he will not say any thing. If Shaun Marcum is ultimately sent to the Milwaukee Brewers, it is likely that his absence will lead to a big gap in the team’s starting rotation. In the last season Shaun Marcum had gone for a 13-8 with a 3.64 earned-run average for the Toronto Blue Jays.
