Sharan to hear Bhutia-Mohun Bagan case again Sunday
September 8th, 2009 - 10:04 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 8 (IANS) Former additional solicitor general Amrendra Sharan said Tuesday that he would again hear both the versions Sunday to solve the ongoing tussle between national football captain Bhaichung Bhutia and Mohun Bagan.
Sharan said that both the parties presented their case Tuesday and will again file a fresh appeal.
While both Bhaichung and his lawyer Usha Nath Banerjee were present Tuesday, Mohun Bagan officials skipped the meeting but were represented by their lawyers.
“Both the parties have presented their case. I have to study it again,” said Sharan.
The Kolkata club has suspended Bhaichung for six months for missing an exhibition match and some of the team’s practice sessions last season.
All India Football Federation (AIFF) president Praful Patel said that since both parties are not willing to climb down, the national body was left with no option but to take a legal opinion.
