Shannon Bahrke Grabs Bronze Medal At Women’s Moguls

shanaonVancouver, Feb 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American freestyle skier Shannon Bahrke registered the bronze medal in the women’s mogul on Saturday at the Winter Olympics at Vancouver. The 29 year old athlete earned the third position by scoring 25.43 points, which resulted in the much acclaimed freestyle skier receiving the bronze medal. Shannon Bahrke was left out by the silver medal winner Jennifer Heil by a mere 16 hundredths of a point, as the Canadian athlete finished with a score of 25.69. However, it was American athlete Hannah Kearney, who reached the finishing line in the fastest time, which resulted in Shannah Bahrke dropping to the third position.

The bronze victory of the American skier turned into a memorable achievement for her as she had earlier implied that this might just be her final season. While reacting to her win after the competition, Shannon Bahrke confirmed that this would indeed be her last season although she added that her fans need not be disappointed as yet as she would be participating in the World Cup. However, the American skier was visibly delighted to have won the bronze medal and implied that this was surely a good way to end her run.

Shannon Bahrke is also known to have received the silver medal in the 2002 Winter Olympics, which was held at Salt Lake City. Also, in the year 2003, the American athlete also gained recognition as she emerged as the World Cup champion. Meanwhile, Shannon Bahrke is also known for her entrepreneurship skills as the year 2008, witnessed the reputed athlete launch the coffee roasting company Silver Bean Coffee.
