Severe Chest Pain Kills Bob Probert At 45

bobWindsor, July 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ex-Red Wings Winger Bob Probert breathed his last on Monday before his family. Reportedly, Bob Probert was out boating with his family on Lake St. Clair when he complained of severe chest pain. Following that his family took him to the Windsor Regional Hospital where the medicos pronounced him dead.

Probert’s father-in-law Dan Parkinson along with Rich Rogow, a family friend, reported the death of Bob Probert in a news conference held at the hospital itself. It was said that Bob Probert who had turned 45 last month complained of serious and persisting chest pain while he was boating with his wife and his kids. Dan Perkinson who happens to be a police officer told the media that he had performed a CPR on Bob Probert. Although the medical rescue workers reached the scene and hurriedly transported him to the Windsor Hospital, it was too late to save Bob Probert. Later Ontario Provincial Police spokeswoman Shawna Coulter confirmed the death.

Onlookers told the media that it seemed that the man was up to something in his Bombardier Speedster 200. He said that Bob Probert as it appeared was “fixing the trim” when he suddenly collapsed on the boat. Bob Probert a Windsor native had played over a total of 16 seasons in NHL. For Red Wings, Bob Probert appeared in 9 long seasons. Bob Probert had a phenomenal career record with 163 NHL goals and was best known for his superb “pugilistic” skill. He was also the last player of NHL to score a goal in Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens way back in 1999. Bob Probert left behind his wife and four children.
