Seven terror suspects go missing in the UK
September 12th, 2010 - 5:40 pm ICT by ANILondon, Sep 12(ANI): Seven terror suspects in the United Kingdom, who were supposed to be under strict control orders, have reportedly disappeared.
According to the Daily Express, huge police efforts are on to find any trace of the fugitives, all of whom were believed to be involved in terrorist activities.
One of them is thought to have fled to Pakistan.
The fugitives were living under curfew, banned from using the Internet and from associating with anyone sympathetic to the teachings of Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden.
The revelation comes amidst intelligence fears that Al-Qaeda would try to target Britain during the run-up to the 2012 London Olympics.
The disappearances have also exposed the lax monitoring of those who are suspected of being a threat to the country. (ANI)
