senecaRenton, March 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Monday, the news surfaced that Seneca Wallace, who had been the quarterback for Seattle Seahawks for seven years, has been traded to Cleveland Browns in exchange of an undisclosed 2011 draft pick. The news has been confirmed by the Seattle Seahawks team official to the media. However, the details of the terms were not made public.

According to the reports, the general manager of Seattle Seahawks John Schneider, has reportedly stated that the trade will provide the quarterback player Seneca Wallace with an opportunity to improve his performance. He also interpreted the trade as a chance for the player to have a “fresh start”. He also suggested that Seneca Wallace’s acquaintance with the president of the Cleveland Browns team, Mike Holmgren, will provide the former with some new opportunities. John Schneider wished Seneca Wallace luck on the transition.

Seneca Wallace had played for the Seattle Seahawks for the last seven years after he was picked up by the club in the year 2003. He has since then played 46 career games and started 14. In the team, he has also been assigned the position of wide receiver and returner, where he had run 54 times for 214 yards and caught four passes for 76 yards. As a quarterback, he has 25 touchdowns. However, his best performance came under the guidance of the then coach of Seattle Seahawks, Mike Holmgren, in the year 2008. In that year the player started eight games and put up a brilliant show of 11 touchdowns and 1,532 yards throw. Seneca Wallace had always remained a favorite of Mike Holmgren and his trading the player for Cleveland Browns therefore does not come as a surprise.
