Sangakkara opts to field against India

Kumar Sangakkara Rajkot, Dec 15 (IANS) Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and opted to field against India in the first of the five-match one-day international series at the Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Ground here Tuesday.
Teams:

India: Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain-wicketkeeper), Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Praveen Kumar, Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra.

Sri Lanka: Upul Tharanga, Tilllakaratne Dilshan, Kumar Sangakkara (captain-wicketkeeper), Mahela Jayawardene, Thilan Samaraweera, Thilina Kandamby, Sanath Jayasuriya, Angelo Mathews, Nuwan Kulasekara, Dilhara Fernando, Chanaka Welegedara.

Umpires: Marius Erasmus (South Africa) and Shavir Tarapore

TV umpire: Sanjay Hazare

Match referee: Jeff Crowe (New Zealand)
