Las Vegas, Nov 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) At the last week’s Latin Grammy Awards many musicians won many awards but the showstopper of the lot was Sammy Sosa with his skin akin to Michael Jackson. His pictures were clicked and they made numerous rounds of the Internet world with everybody wondering that, “What happened to Sammy Sosa?”

“He’s not trying to be Michael Jackson,” former Chicago Cubs employee Rebecca Polihronis, who talks frequently with Sosa, told the Chicago Tribune. She tried to clarify the air with her statement that, “He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin. Women have it all of the time. He was surprised he came out looking so white. I thought it was a body double. Part of [the photo appearance] is just the lighting.” But people were not very convinced.

Though Polihronis has clearly stated the cause of Sammy Sosa’s bleached white skin, people have not stopped making speculations.

Some say that the cause of his white skin might be the steroids that he took in his youth, which have caused vitiligo and given birth to his new skin color. His new skin color also got mixed reactions. Some like it and are appreciative of the fact whereas some think that the original was way better.

His friend said, “People who saw him in person did not react the same way. He can’t believe it is such a big deal…He is in the middle of doing a cleansing process to his skin. The picture is deceiving. He said, ‘If you saw me in person, you would be surprised. When you see me in person, it is not going to seem like the picture.’”
