Sam Bradford Injured In Match Against BYU

injury1Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford’s sustained shoulder injury during the game that was played against the Brigham Young Cougars on the Saturday night. The injury sent Bradford packing from the field towards the end of the first half of the match and with him went the hopes of a Sooner win for the night.

Bradford’s injury is however, the most talked about event now, following the match. The Heisman Trophy winner landed on his right shoulder, which resulted in the sprain, after he was rammed at by the BYU linebacker, Coleby Clawson. Both Bradford and Clawson landed on the ground hard, because of the collision, which resulted in all the weight to be shoved on the right shoulder of Bradford. The incident had taken place just seven seconds away from the half time.

The impact of the injury was so great, that Bradford was seen yelping with pain while making his way out of the field in the half time. An sure signal, that he required immediate medical attention. During the rest of the game (the second half), he remained in the sidelines after getting his arm in slings, watching helplessly as the Cougars beat his Sooners relentlessly.

Since then, his injury has been reported to be a sprained AC joint. the seriousness of the injury has also raised a lot of eager questions about Bradford’s possible return to the Sooners anytime soon. According to the X-ray reports, the player is going to have to remain out of action for quite sometime, in order to recover.
