Saints Parade Marked Champions Homecoming

mvp-paradeNew Orleans, Feb 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The victory of the New Orleans Saints in the Super Bowl XLIV has overwhelmed the fans and they are in a celebratory mood from Sunday night. Parties and festivities, which started since Sunday night became more pronounced when the Super Bowl champions entered their hometown on Tuesday. As per the reports, thousands of fans had come down to the streets in New Orleans to join the Saints Parade, which was scheduled to start at 5 p.m. CST from Super Dome.

People in New Orleans have double reason to celebrate this week. According to reports, this is the Mardi Gras week and football fans in New Orleans were happy to welcome back their players at the same time. Sean Payton, the head coach of New Orleans Saints was excited to receive such a warm welcome from the fans and to him this was the “best Mardi Gras week” in the city’s history. Not only the coach but also the other members of the team were delighted with the celebrations that have been planned for celebrating their victory.

As stated in the reports, Saints’ players were seen tossing beads into the crowds that had thronged the streets for the Saints Parade. It has been reported that the players signed several autographs for the fans who have supported them throughout the season. Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees, who had been honored with the MVP award this year yelled to the crowds that had gathered to celebrate their homecoming. Fans have supported them throughout the season and Drew Brees expressed his gratitude by saying that they have won the game only for them.
