Saina, Arvind bow out of China Super Series
November 19th, 2009 - 11:52 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Nov 19 (IANS) India’s Saina Nehwal bowed out of the China Super Series badminton in Shanghai, going down to Chinese qualifier Xia Jingyun in the second round of the women’s singles Thursday.
Saina, seeded seventh, lost 21-17, 8-21, 13-21 to Xie.
In the men’s singles event, Arvind Bhat was also out in the second round, going down to Indonesian Sony Dwi Kuncoro 15-21, 16-21. Another Indian, Chetan Anand, has already lost in the first round.
