Saba Karim opens cricket academy

Virender Sehwag Noida, July 6 (IANS) Former India wicketkeeper Syed Saba Karim Thursday inaugurated his state-of-the-art academy at the Genesis Global School here.

The academy, which will be known as Sab Karim Genesis Pro Cricket Centre, was unveiled by India’s dashing opener Virender Sehwag along with former cricketer Ajay Jadeja.

Sehwag was all praise for the facilities and said they would benefit the budding cricketers.

“It is great to see a cricket academy like this coming up in Noida. It will benefit the aspiring cricketers of this region. I see a synergy in future between Saba Karim Genesis Pro Criket Centre and Virender Sehwag cricket academy,” he said.

The academy will hold coaching sessions in five age groups from U-10 to U-19 four days a week.

“Together with the the infrastructure, it is the work ethics of the coaches and the passion of the trainees that will help us achieve our goals. We are hopeful that the alliance that we have formed an alliance with Genesis Global School helps us to drive our mission forward,” said Karim.
