Russia’s Kudentsov wins 9th stage of Tour d’Indonesia 2010

JAKARTA (BNO NEWS) — Russian Sergey Kudentsov of the Polygon Sweet Nice (PSN) Surabaya club on Tuesday won the ninth stage of the Speedy Tour d’Indonesia 2010.

It took Kudentsov three hours, fourteen minutes and fifty-one seconds to complete the 137.5-kilometer (85.4 mile) track from Gilimanuk to Denpasar. Mohd Sahrul Mat Amin from Malaysia finished second, followed by Indonesian cyclist Fatahillah Abdullah of the Yogyakarta team.

Also on Tuesday, Indonesia’s Herwin Jaya of the PSN won the best red and white jersey category with a total time of 25:15:54, while Budi Santoso from United Bike Kencana team ranked first in the green jersey category.

Tuesday’s stage was the last one to decide the winners of the tour’s classifications before the cyclists take a 115 (71 mile) race over seven laps in Denpasar on Wednesday.
