alabama2Tuscaloosa, Sep 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) If there was one player who out-shined the lot of players who took to the field during the Alabama State University play against the Penn State University team on Saturday, then it was none other than running back Trent Richardson of Alabama State University team. The running back who replaced injured Heisman Trophy-winning Mark Ingram on field tried his best to prove himself as a worthy inclusion and there is no denying the fact that the man came up with some brilliant play.

Trent Richardson pulled up pretty well during the game as he was able to sidestep and plow through the tackles and scored on a 1-yard touchdown run. Trent Richardson ran for an impressive 144 yards on 22 carries and went for four catches for 46 yards. The player filled in the position of Mark Ingram seamlessly as he ran 102 yards in the first half of the game. The Saturday night game no doubt provided Trent Richardson with a much needed opportunity to show his talent and the player left no opportunity to use it. After the win, an elated Trent Richardson said to media sources that the Saturday night game is something that he will remember for a long time. He maintained that he tried to out the offense “on my back and run with it”.

The Alabama State University team that focused more on the wide receiver area and came forward with five wide receivers, left the running back area under the responsibility of Trent Richardson. Nicholas Lou Saban, the football coach of the Alabama State University team said to media sources that Trent Richardson played a “fantastic game” who as been able to score a hundred yard against the defense of Penn State University team.
