London, Feb.17 (ANI): Manchester United coach Alex Ferguson has said that England forward Wayne Rooney could make a comeback in Wednesdays match against Fulham after remaining out of action for five weeks out. Manchester United have won all seven games since striker Rooney limped out of the 1-0 win over Wigan on January 14.
His return after a hamstring injury is a major boost for United, who will go five points clear of second-place Liverpool if they win their game in hand, reports The Sun. Wayne should be ready for Saturdays game against Blackburn, were quite confident of that. He may have a slight chance of being fit for the bench on Wednesday, the tabloid quoted Ferguson, as saying. Rooney has scored nine goals for United this season, including the first-minute winner against Wigan. (ANI)
