London, Oct 19(ANI): Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has reportedly told his team-mates that he will consider a move to Manchester City.
Rooney is considering his options after informing bosses at Old Trafford that he would not be extending his current contract.
According to the Daily Mail, Rooney has become so fed up with life at United that he has told team-mates that he would not baulk at a move to City.
It is also believed that the striker is keen to force the issue before the January transfer window.
The former Everton player, whose current deal expires in June 2012, is understood to be angling for a pay hike to 200,000 pounds a week.
The amount would make him the highest paid player in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, United’s players believe that Rooney’s row is purely about money not about the breakdown of his relationship with manager Sir Alex Ferguson. (ANI)
