London, June 18 (ANI): Manchester United centre-back Rio Ferdinand has an astonishing collection of boots to boast of.

According to The Daily Star, the England star has kept his Manchester United team-mates’ boots in his custody for the past two years.

Ferdinand had collected around 30 smelly boots, when his team won the Premier League title in 2007.”We’d had a great campaign. One day I’ll buy a really nice cabinet for them,” Ferdinand was quoted, as saying.

Ferdinand had joined Manchester United in July 2002 for around 30 million pounds, breaking the transfer fee record at that time.

Ferdinand went on to win the Premier League title with Manchester United in his first season. He has also collected a winner’s medal in the 2006 Carling Cup, with runners-up medals in the 2003 Carling Cup and the 2005 FA Cup. (ANI)
