Rich HardenDec 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to the sources, Texas Rangers have reportedly come to an agreement in signing off ex-Oakland A’s pitcher, Rich Harden. The report was posted on a well known sports website which stated that the right-hander has been approached by Texas Rangers, who apparently have shown vested interests on signing with the pitcher. As per the reports, the ex-Oakland A’s pitcher will receive something between $7 million to $8 million for one year. Although the report is not a confirmed one as of yet, chances are there that the player might have agreed to the deal.

As per the records, Rich Harden reportedly had an ERA of 4.09 in 26 games last season during his stint at the Chicago Cubs. Rich Harden was reportedly declined of salary arbitration from his former club, thereby making him a free agent. If at all the deal between Rich Harden and the Rangers is a confirmed one, then the player will be gearing up to pitch for his third major league team. The other two clubs for which Rich Harden had pitched for, are the Oakland Athletics and the Chicago Cubs.

Rich Harden is best known for his unconventional yet effective pitching style. Rich Harden’s fast ball seldom crosses the 100 mph mark, swaying between 93-95 mph. Harden uses his “change up” in an unconventional manner, subtly mixing it up between a slow change up to a pitch and a slider to a pitch. The “splitter” effect that he creates helps him to resurrect the effect of throwing many pitches. Richard Harden’s deal with the Rangers has not been confirmed by the officials of both the parties.
